The Theta Tambuli as official chronicler of news and events relevant to APO Theta UPLB has seen itself come and go over the past three decades or so, its existence dependent on the availability of resources and the zeal of the active collegiates in putting together enough material to turn out a respectable publication. It was simply that hard to publish a newsletter that could, like the towncrier of old, let known to Thetans and the general public what APO Theta UPLB has been up to.

The 14th of February is doubly significant to any member of the APO Theta UPLB Service Fraternity. Not only does it serve as an occasion to wear their hearts on their sleeves, it being Valentine's Day, but it also marks an important milestone in the history of APO Theta UPLB. Fifty-two years ago today, the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity in UPLB was formally recognized by the national council and was granted its charter as the eighth chapter of APO Philippines. Thus, it came to be known from that time to the present as Alpha Phi Omega - Theta Chapter at UPLB (APO Theta UPLB).
